A Light in the Attic by Shel Silverstein. I think some of the best imagination is in this book. I often still of several of the poems that have inspired my art work. Hopefully I can pass on some magic that inspired me to someone else.
Sharks really freaked me out as a kid- I think it's mainly because of the Jaw movies ;) but they make this cool puzzle anatomy models now.
Of course I want to give art supplies! but I found this really awesome pack that teaches kids about the modern art. I think it's so important to teach kids about art especially art history. Wouldn't you want this if you were a kid :)?
I love giving science gifts- but i have to admit i love giving kid gifts that make a mess. I know it may drive my sisters crazy but the kids love it!
Have you started making your Christmas shopping list?

A Light In The Attic is hands down one of my favorite books. This Bridge makes me cry every time I read it or really even think about it!
I always have the hardest time shopping for kids. This was really helpful!
I think shopping for kids is especially difficult, excellent tips as well!
Wonderful ideas! A Light in the Attic is a classic. I always like shopping for kids, but the ones in my family are teenagers now.

Oh yes, what kid doesn't love Shel Silverstein? Great ideas!
Awesome kid gift ideas! I love to buy art supplies for others, too. I think that it's better to give gifts that will make a mess than gifts that make a lot of noise and/or require batteries.
I definitely have started making my shopping list for this year. The most shopping I can do early, the better.
*screaaammmmmsss!* I LOVE THE 1st Picture! hahah omg :<

That tree is amazing! I want one!
I love all of these gifts! My favourite things for children are things like this: books, art supplies, sciencey things. So much better than boring plastic toys!
Great gift ideas! I LOVE Shel Silverstein!
That tree is 'wonderous! Magic in itself.
If you have any 8-10 age to buy for, check out my book (a cyberspace adventure and a little whacky). You can look inside on amazon.com, so you will know if it is right. Violet Jelly by Ann Sharples.
Just telling you because it is fun, according to those who have read it.
What a great gift guide.
Such a cute list!
Every kid either needs an arty or science based 'mess' making gift at some stage or another. That's my opinion anyway, I think it goes with grass stain & grazed knees - it has to be done!
I want that tree in my life - stunning. Enjoy Christmas gift shopping. x
Those owl drawings are so cute! =)
